An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with firearms offences following a shooting incident in Dublin last week in which a garda was injured.
A member of the Garda Emergency Response Unit received a gunshot wound to his forearm.
A youth was also injured following an exchange of fire during a raid at a house last week at Barnwell Drive in Ballymun.
Shane Fay from Belclare Park in Ballymun faces two charges under the Firearms Act.
They include unlawful possession of a semi-automatic pistol and four rounds of ammunition.
Mr Fay was arrested at James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown on Friday and questioned at Ballymun Garda Station.
He was charged earlier today but made no reply.
The court was told he has no further charges pending, but he was refused bail.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Cloverhill District Court next week.
