Two men have appeared at Blanchardstown District Court charged with the murder of a man whose body was found on farmland in Co Meath last month.
The body of Mahamud Ilyas, a 22-year-old man who was originally from Somalia, was discovered wrapped in carpet in a wooded area at Kilbride near Ashbourne on 10 December.
Sergeant Michael Redmond of Blanchardstown Garda Station told Judge David McHugh he arrested Viorel Doroscan, 21, and with an address at Bay Meadows, Hollystown, Dublin 15, at Blanchardstown Garda Station yesterday.
He was present when Sergeant Catriona White charged him with the murder of Mr Ilyas at Verdemont, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. He said Mr Doroscan replied "No Miss".

Detective Sergeant Emma Ryan told the court she arrested Otniel Ricardo Clejan, 21, and with address at Verdemont, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, at Blanchardstown Garda Station yesterday.
She was present when Sergeant White charged him yesterday evening with the murder of Mr Ilyas at Verdemont in Blanchardstown. He made no reply.
Judge David McHugh remanded both men to appear by video link at Cloverhill District Court next Friday 13 January.
Legal aid was granted to both men and the judge agreed a Romanian interpreter would be provided for Mr Clejan.
