A man has been charged with murder over the shooting of Jordan Davis in Darndale in Dublin last month.

Wayne Cooney, 28, from Glenshane Drive, Tallaght, Dublin appeared at Dublin District Court.

Mr Davis, 22, was shot dead on 22 May while he was pushing his four-month-old baby in a pram.

The shooting happened on a laneway beside a primary school.

Judge Carol Anne Coolican granted legal aid to Mr Cooney and remanded him in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court this Friday, 28 June.
