Eight people have been before a special sitting of Tuam District Court, to face charges in connection with an altercation at a graveyard in the town last September.
The seven men and one woman were brought to court from a number of garda stations around Co Galway, following a series of arrests this morning.
One man, 47-year-old David McDonagh, with an address at 59 Parkmore, Tuam, Co Galway, was remanded in custody.
He is charged with Section 3 Assault, under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, along with another offence under the Public Order Act.
The above charges were also brought against four others: 49-year-old John McDonagh Snr, of 2 Carrowmacowan, Kilbannon, Tuam; John McDonagh Jnr (25), of Bay 2 Halting Site, Galway Road, Tuam; 29-year-old Stephen McDonagh, of 64 Corrach Buí, Rahoon, Galway; and Patrick McDonagh (26), of Bay 6 Halting Site, Galway Road, Tuam.

All those granted bail will be back before Tuam District Court in January.
A number of conditions were attached to the bail applications by Judge Gerard Furlong.
