A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a man who was found dead in a house in Conamara (Connemara).
Emergency services were called to a house in Baile Na hAbhann shortly after 9am.
A man in his 60s was treated at the scene by paramedics before being brought to University Hospital Galway, where he died a short time later.
A man in his 70s was arrested at a separate location, but has since been released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Coroner's Court.
