A woman accused of murdering a young boy has been remanded on continuing bail, following a hearing at Castlebar District Court today.
When the matter came before Judge Fiona Lydon this morning, Inspector Dermot Butler told the court that the book of evidence had not been completed and he sought an extension of time, to allow for this.
Defence solicitor Thomas Walsh made no objection to the application.
The defendant, who cannot be named due to reporting restrictions, is alleged to have murdered the young child, who died on 1 January 2017.
The accused was present in court today but did not speak during the brief hearing.
She's been remanded on continuing bail until next month, for service of the Book of Evidence.
