Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man's body in Westport in Co Mayo this morning.
Gardaí are carrying out a forensic examination of the scene but early reports indicate the cause of death is unlikely to be suspicious.
The body was found shortly after 6am in the Tubberhill area of the town.
Gardaí are working to positively identify the man and a post mortem will be carried out at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar to determine the cause of death.
