Over the next three years, 830 new jobs are to be created by the professional services firm Grant Thornton.

The roles will be spread across seven offices around Ireland and will be open to experienced applicants and graduates.

The positions will be in a variety of areas, including actuarial, audit, corporate finance, financial services, digital transformation, insurance and sustainability.

Operational roles in areas such as human resources, marketing, risk and compliance and transformation and change are also being advertised to support the expansion.

The company said it is growing its headcount in line with its clients' needs.

"Today's announcement marks yet another milestone in the Grant Thornton Ireland story," said Managing Partner in Ireland, Michael McAteer.

While the company has offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Longford, Kildare and Belfast, the new jobs will offer flexibility.

The firm said it has introduced a new Future of Work framework across its business that will ensure flexibility, opportunity and promotion are ensured.

Today's announcement comes a month after the company said it would double its tax team, adding 170 new jobs, with recruitment for those positions already under way.

The company currently employs 1,550 in Ireland.

Sources indicated that while a total of 1,000 roles have been announced both today and last month, it is likely more than that will be added over the coming three years.
