Revolut has launched a new 'Stays' feature, which will allow users to book accommodation through its digital banking app.

Following its roll out in the UK last month, the company said from today, customers in Ireland will be able to browse and book accommodation.

It said the app will offer a range of accommodation options from across the world, ranging from B&Bs to luxury lodges.

Revolut said it will not charge users booking fees, and in some cases will offer 10% cashback on bookings.

In 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic hit, Irish Revolut users spent on average €215 on accommodation and €131 on flights - using a Revolut card.

"We've built Stays to make it easy for people to find and book their perfect break in their ideal destination," said Marsel Nikaj, Head of Savings and Lifestyle at Revolut.

"After 18 months of endless restrictions and lockdowns, we want to give people more and make their money travel further," he added.

Revolut said it plans to add more travel related products in the future, to allow customers to book flights and hire cars through the app.
