Online grocery delivery provider Buymie is to hire 200 personal shoppers here over the next six months.
The expansion will include 30 drivers recently recruited to deal with increased demand for its services since the Covid-19 restrictions were put in place.
The company has also joined forces with Co-op in the UK to offer same-day home grocery deliveries and personal shopping services in Bristol.
This is the first city in the UK where Buymie is to operate.
"This marks Buymie's first international expansion and a major milestone for the business as we expand rapidly in Ireland," said Devan Hughes, CEO and co-founder of Buymie.
"2020/21 will see rapid expansion the same day-delivery channel as consumers confront a new reality for the foreseeable future."
Through Buymie's app, customers can choose a grocery store, the products they wish to buy and a delivery slot.
A personal shoppers is then appointed and they carry out the task of gathering the order and delivering it.
Deliveries can take place within an hour and slots can be booked up to a week in advance.
Buymie was launched in Dublin four years ago by Devan Hughes and Art Sokhikyan and has its headquarters in the city.
