90 new jobs are to be created in Cork and Mayo by cosmetic formulator and contract manufacturer Cosmetic Creations.

Two thirds of the positions will be in operations, supply chain, quality and formulation development in Cork.

The remaining 30 will be based at the company's Mayo head office, increasing numbers there to 80.

This year Cosmetic Creations will make over four million units made up of more than 100 individual products and it ships them to more than 15 countries.

The firm manufactures skincare, personal care, self-tanning, supplements and base pharmaceutical line products.

It also develops food supplements and animal welfare products

€7.5 million was recently invested in the firm, with the money raised through IPS Finance in Limerick.

The news came as Cosmetic Creations officially opened its Cork site, in the former Yves Rocher plant on the north side of the city.
"Following the significant investment into our Claremorris facility, the acquisition and expansion of the former Yves Rocher site in Cork is the largest and most significant step in that strategic growth plan," said Aiden Corcoran, Owner and CEO of Cosmetic Creations.

"We are also delighted to have been able to rehire over 30 of the former Yves Rocher employees at our Cork site."
