The two day Reliability Ireland conference gets underway in Cork today, with 150 engineers from some of the world's biggest manufacturers due to attend.
The conference is a key event for European engineers responsible for reliability, sustainability and continuous improvement across manufacturing, power generation or fleet management sectors.
It will highlight the need for Ireland to engage with the industry in relation to sustainability and climate change.
The focus of this year's conference is around the development of the 'smart factory' - or Industry 4.0.
