Recruitment firm Sigmar has launched its new European Talent Hub in Tralee in Co Kerry, which will create more than 50 jobs.

Sigmar said the new hub has redefined the traditional recruitment model and was established to harness international talent for other international markets from its base in Tralee.

The Sigmar staff in Tralee will fill roles in IT for European markets with candidates from other countries.

"Sigmar's new European Recruitment Model (ERM) sees the market expand exponentially into Europe while the operation servicing the market is becoming more mobile and remote moving from the capital or major cities into a more rural environment," the company stated.

Earlier this year, Sigmar announced a strategic partnership with French staffing giant Groupe Adéquat.

Sigmar's chief executive said today's news is an exciting international story for Sigmar, for Tralee and for Ireland.

"A leading Irish company in partnership with a €1 billion French company, develop the process and technology that creates the need to recruit 60 people in Kerry to place IT talent from all parts of Europe into German market," he said.

"It is probably the most interesting operation I have seen in 25 years in recruitment and we are honoured to base it in Tralee," he added.
