Bank of Ireland has announced that the CEO of its UK operations, Des Crowley, is to retire next year.
Mr Crowley has worked with the bank for more than 30 years and has held the top role at its British arm since 2012.
Bank of Ireland provides a range of financial services in Britain, largely through partnerships with the Post Office and the AA.
He has also been a member of Bank of Ireland’s group executive committee since 2000 and will continue to serve on the committee until his retirement.
Bank of Ireland CEO Francesca McDonagh thanked Mr Crowley for his "exceptional contribution, dedication and professionalism" during his career.
The bank said it would now commence an internal and external selection process to find a new CEO for its British business.
