A Dublin-based IT consultancy firm has agreed a settlement of more than €1 million following an audit by the Revenue Commissioners.

Dunbar IT Consulting Ltd, now in liquidation, was found to have under-declared corporation tax, PAYE, PSRI, USC and VAT to the tune of €482,285.

Interest of €242,359 was added to that, along with a penalty of €317,591.

It is the largest settlement in the latest Revenue Tax Defaulters List, which details 71 cases with settlements and penalties worth a combined €11.58m.

Other large settlements on the list included Dublin-based accountant and landlord Fintan M Egan, who agreed to pay €740,474 for under-declaration of income tax and VAT.

Kenneth Kaar, a medical consultant in Galway, owed €717,581 for the under-declaration of income tax.

Both settlements were reached following audits.

Meanwhile Fulvio Pellegrini - who operates a takeaway in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow – settled for €481,288 following the under-declaration of income tax and VAT.

Cork-based Inventive Enterprises Ltd, now in liquidation, settled for €209,827 for the under-declaration of VAT, PAYE, PRSI and USC.
