Ryanair has today announced that it will open two new Polish bases at Warsaw Modlin and Gdansk this winter.

It also announced four new winter routes from Warsaw to Shannon, Gdansk, Madrid and Wroclaw.

It is estimated that these new routes will deliver 1.9m customer per year, with 268 weekly flights, as Ryanair invests over $90m at Warsaw Modlin Airport.

"Ryanair is delighted to announce that we will be opening a new base at Warsaw Modlin this winter, offering 20 exciting routes, including 4 new winter routes to Gdansk, Madrid, Shannon and Wroclaw," Ryanair's Chief Executive Michael O'Leary said today.
