Up to 100 jobs are expected to be created at a US internet security company in Dublin.
Total Defense Internet Security is setting up its European operations hub in Ballsbridge in Dublin city. 21 of the positions have already been recruited.
Total Defense is an IDA Ireland supported company.
It is a leading developer and provider of anti-virus and anti-crimeware software for both business and consumer markets.
The president of Total Defense, Chris Hickey, said the company was impressed by the quality and depth of the talent pool and the strength of the software industry in Ireland.
This advantage, ''coupled with the partnership of IDA Ireland, made the decision to locate our European operations hub here, the right one for the future of the company,'' he added.
''Total Defense is an excellent addition to the thriving cluster of anti-virus software companies operating in Ireland,'' commented IDA Ireland's chief executive Barry O'Leary.
