The Government has announced plans to make payments to people who are responsible for bringing sustainable jobs into Ireland.

The "Succeed in Ireland" initiative - part of the government's Action Plan for Jobs - will provide direct financial incentives to people around the world to create employment in Ireland.

Launching the initiative, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said it would incentivise people around the world, including the diaspora, to be Ireland's "eyes and ears" on the global stage, and help deliver new jobs and investment.

ConnectIreland.com has been appointed by IDA Ireland to deliver the scheme. ConnectIreland.com CEO Terry Clune said the company was asking people to use their contacts to make connections with companies overseas that were expanding internationally. People can register on the the organisation's website to take part in the programme.
