It was announced today that land for the U2 Tower was among properties handed over by Dublin's docklands authority to settle NAMA debts arising from the Glass Bottle site deal.

The authority was part of a consortium that paid over €400m for land in Ringsend now worth less than €50m.

Connolly resigns from NAMA board

Michael Connolly has resigned from the board of the National Asset Management Agency.

Mr Connolly, a former senior manager at Bank of Ireland, was appointed to the agency's board two years ago.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan said Mr Connolly had made a "very important contribution" to the work of the agency.
