A company in which agri-food group Origin Enterprises has a stake has applied for a listing on the Irish Stock Exchange's junior market.

Origin owns 39% of Continental Farmers Group, which has farming operations in western Ukraine and northern Poland. The company's core business is crop production, including oil seed rape, sugar beet, potatoes, wheat, and maize.

It has applied to list its shares on Dublin's Enterprise Securities Market, as well as London's AIM market.

Origin first invested in Continental Farmers Group three years ago, acquiring a 20% stake for €12m, and subsequently increased its stake to 39%.
