Recruitment firm Premier Group has said a re-branding move will create 75 new jobs over the next 18 months.

Three of its businesses - Premier, Verkom and Brunel - will now be known as Morgan McKinley. The group says it will invest €1m to launch and develop the new brand in Ireland.

The new jobs will be based mostly at the company's offices in Dublin and Cork, with some new positions also in the Kilkenny, Limerick and Waterford offices.

Premier Group bought Morgan McKinley in 2008 and operates under this name internationally.

'The timing of this re-brand and our investment in business growth also reflects our confidence in the Irish economy and jobs market as we see it start to stabilise from the very low base of job opportunities reached last year, said Premier Group chief executive Pat Fitzgerald.

The company specialises in software to improve communications between local authorities and the public and already employs around 90 people at its Belfast offices.
