Credit card company MBNA is to lay off 66 people at its operations centre in Carrick-on-Shannon in Co Leitrim.
The company said that the compulsory redundancies were in response to the economic downturn.
Around 1,000 people work for MBNA in Ireland with the majority based in Carrick-on-Shannon.
