A case being taken by the Revenue against two brothers who run a car dealership in Granard, Co Longford has been adjourned until June 11. The adjournment is to allow for the preparation of a defence.
The brothers, John and Pauric Kane, are together being pursued by Revenue for more than €10m in alleged unpaid taxes.
It is the first time Revenue has sought to have such a case heard by the Commercial Court.
Last Friday, Mr Justice Peter Kelly appointed a receiver to the company. Today he said the receiver would remain in situ over the course of the legal proceedings. Gary McCarthy, acting for the Revenue, said there had been an attempt to move some vehicles from the forecourt of the dealership last Friday.
