Smart card company ID Data Group is to sell its Irish subsidiary CardBASE Technologies to a French company.
Sagem Securite, a subsidiary of the SAFRAN Group, will pay €2.25m in cash for CardBASE.
ID Data, which is listed on London's AIM market, has been looking for funds from investors and seeking to sell off some of its operations in an effort to raise funds.
CardBASE, based in Dublin, was taken over by ID Data in 2004, having earlier emerged from examinership.
