ACCBank, which is owned by Rabobank, is to close a number of its branches and withdraw cash services from all of its outlets.

In a statement, the company said offices in Dundalk, Naas, Portlaoise, Carlow, Longford, Mallow and Bandon would close from January 16 next year. It said staff affected would re-located to other branches.

ACC, which is focused on business customers, said it would be investing significantly in new premises in Cork, Kilkenny and Limerick and refurbishing its other locations.

It said it would continue to seek to open current and deposit accounts for business customers who do not need cash services. ACC currently has 32 branches.
