A company headed by former Jurys Doyle chief executive Pat McCann, Dalata, is to re-brand nine of its hotels from September.
Last year, a consortium which included Dublin-listed investment group TVC Holdings and Davy Private Clients bought two hotel chains from Choice Hotels Ireland for €41.5m. The deal covered 11 Quality and Comfort hotels in Ireland.
From September, nine of the hotels - in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Portlaoise and Wexford - will re-brand to become Maldon Hotels. The two properties located in Clonakilty and Youghal which are operated as management contracts will continue as Quality Hotels.
Mr McCann said the group was also looking at expansion opportunities in the UK and Ireland.
