Enterprise Ireland today started a week-long trade mission in Brazil and Mexico. The delegation, led by the Minister for International Trade John McGuinness, is bring 42 companies to the South American countries.

Its aim is to enhance economic links between Ireland and the two countries and to help Irish firms to access long-term opportunities available in both markets.

Irish exports to Latin American countries in 2007 showed a year on year increase of 14% on 2006, with exports to Brazil and Mexico up by 8% and 11% respectively.
