Josephine Feehily has been appointed Chairman of the Revenue Commissioners. She replaces Frank Daly who is retiring. She takes up her position on March 13.

A native of Clarina in Co Limerick, Ms Feehily has been a Revenue Commissioner since 1998. At present, she has responsibility at board level for the policy, legislation and international matters relating to Tax and Customs, Large Cases division and the Collector General's Division at the tax office.

She previously worked in the Department of Social and Family Affairs and the Pensions Board. She has also served as a member of the Labour Relations Commission.
