A British diagnostic scanning company has bought Sequence Medical Group, Ireland's leading magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) service provider.
UK headquartered Aliance says it is the largest independent provider of MRI, PET and CT diagnostic scanning in Europe, operating in 18 countries worldwide.
Sequence Medical was founded seven years ago by Chris Jones, and employs 46 people to service nine contracts in hospitals in Ireland and one in the North.
Aliance CEO Alan Pilgrim says the company looks forward to further developing services offered in the fast growing Irish market.
In the UK the company has over 450 customers.
