Davy's Private Client division has opened a a new office in Galway.

The Galway office is the firm's second regional office and the company says it represents an expansion of its regionalisation strategy.

The office will be open for business on October 16 and the initial team will comprise six investment specialists. The office will cover all of Connacht, as well as Clare and Donegal.

Davy opened a Cork office in 2004. That office now has 12 staff, providing wealth management and corporate finance services to clients in the region.

'The demand for wealth management services outside of Dublin has blossomed over the past decade, reflecting the exceptional economic growth throughout the country,' commented Stephen Felle, a director of Davy's Private Client division.
