To build on the unprecedented coverage of Irish golf tourism during the Ryder Cup, Failte Ireland is planning a Specialist Golf Tour Operators' Workshop.
The workshop, held in conjunction with Tourism Ireland, wants to build on the international interest and awareness of golfing in Ireland by inviting golf tour operators from around the world to meet with the Irish tourism industry.
The workshop will take place at Dublin's Citywest Hotel on October 17, 2006.
Over 60 overseas golf operators and 100 Irish trade including golf courses, golf marketing groups, hotels and transport companies will attend the workshop, Failte Ireland said.
Recent research has indicated that 80% of US golf tour operators believe that customers will be more interested in Ireland as a destination because of the Ryder Cup.
