Thirty Irish companies from a wide range of sectors are taking part in a trade mission to South Africa. Representatives of the companies will hold trade events in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town.

The trade mission is being led by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheal Martin. He will be accompanied by the chief executive of Enterprise Ireland, Frank Ryan.

According to figures from Enterprise Ireland, more than 100 Irish companies are currently doing business in South Africa. Irish sales in the South African market were worth approximately €428m last year.
