Adobe, the US-based software company which produces publishing software and owns the popular Adobe Acrobat technology, reported record revenues of $472.9m in its first quarter results.

This compares to $423.3m reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2004 and $429.5m reported in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004.

'The explosive growth of digital content continues to drive demand for Adobe solutions across all of our customer segments,' said Bruce R Chizen, Adobe's CEO.

The company had net income of $151.9m or $0.60 per share. This compares to $123m reported in the same quarter last year and $113.5m in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004.

The firm has a treasury management and finance centre in Dublin which employs around 65 people.
