Baltimore reports strong profits - Baltimore Technologies, now a global leader in e-security, this morning announced strong fourth quarter results with revenues in the three months to the end of December of $42.5 million. This means Baltimore's total revenue for last year was 219% higher at $110 million. Baltimore's chief executive Fran Rooney says the company is very encouraged by the company's good performance.

AIB profits up 10% for 2000 - AIB this morning announced that it made £984 million in profit last year, which was some 10% more than last year. Tom Mulcahy, AIB's chief executive, said the profits figure represented in part a 20% return on a major investment.

Paddy Power reports turnover hike of 35% - Paddy Power Bookmakers also announced their results this morning. Turnover at the company rose by 35% to £285 million and the bookmakers made £8.6 million in profit.

Golden Vale reports 6% profits hike - Golden Vale, the Charleville-based agri food company, announced today that its turnover was down marginally last year to £663 million. The group's profits rose by 6% to £27 million.
