Four men have been arrested following targeted attacks on sex workers who advertised services online.
The men, aged between 18 and 37, were detained at three addresses in west Dublin which were searched under warrant.
Three of the four are due to appear at Roscommon District Court tomorrow.
A fourth man has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The arrests were made under Operation Quest, an investigation into recent robberies of and assaults on sex workers, mainly in the Dublin area.
The searches were conducted by members of he Garda National Protective Services Bureau, along with units from the Dublin and Longford/Roscommon divisions.
Gardaí said the attacks, which have targeted both male and female sex workers, have been terrifying for the injured parties.
They are continuing to appeal to any sex worker who may have been subject to a similar attack to immediately report the incident.
