More than 100 people gathered at Dublin City Hall to remember their babies who were stillborn or died from neonatal deaths.

The gathering - one of several around Ireland - is part of the international Wave of Light cermonies.

Families remembered their babies by lighting candles and public buildings were lit up blue and pink in memory of the children.

75 buildings around Ireland were lit up tonight and candle-lighting ceremonies were held in counties Cork, Cavan, Louth, Galway, Meath, Longford, Waterford and Kilkenny.

At the event in Dublin there was song, poetry and silence as families remembered their lost loved ones.
