An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of Cameron Reilly has been released without charge. 

A file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions. 

The 18-year-old was arrested yesterday morning and questioned in Drogheda Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. 

Cameron Reilly was last seen in the vicinity of Ardee Road, Dunleer at around 12.30am on Saturday 26 May.

His body was found in a field on the edge of the town at 8am that morning.

A post-mortem examination found he had been strangled.

He had been out socialising the night before and gardaí are anxious to speak to young people who were in his company that night. 

Gardaí have also appealed for help locating Mr Reilly’s phone.
