An investigation is under way into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Charlestown, Co Mayo, after his body was discovered in a flat.
It is understood the man was in his 50s and originally from Poland.
His body was found in a flat on the town’s Main Street this afternoon.
The man had been living in Mayo for some time.
Gardaí say they are keeping an open mind at this stage of the investigation.
The scene has been preserved.
The man's body was removed Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
