The row in Fine Gael sparked by allegations of sexism made a fortnight ago by Senator Catherine Noone has been resolved.

At tonight's meeting of Fine Gael TDs and Senators, party Chairman Martin Heydon read out correspondence from General Secretary Tom Curran saying the matter had been addressed.

Senator Noone then told the meeting that she was satisfied that her complaint had been dealt with.

She had alleged that she had been the victim of sexism and bullying by a party colleague.
