A 40-year-old man arrested by gardaí in connection with the murder of Northern Ireland prison officer David Black in November 2012 is due to appear in court in Dublin.
Damien Joseph McLaughlin, from Kilmascally Road near Ardboe in Co Tyrone is wanted by the PSNI since he went missing from Northern Ireland while on bail.
He was detained in Co Donegal under a European Arrest Warrant as part of a joint cross-border intelligence led police operation.
Mr McLaughlin was due to face a number of charges, including aiding and abetting the murder of the 52-year-old prison officer.
Mr Black was shot dead on the M1 motorway by dissident republicans as he drove to work in Maghaberry jail.
The PSNI say two other people were also arrested as part of the operation .
A 59-year-old man is being questioned at Letterkenny Garda Station and a 47-year-old woman, who was arrested in Belfast yesterday, has been released on police bail.
