An investigation is under way after a man died in a workplace incident in Connemara yesterday.
The man was working at Ros a Mhíl harbour when he was struck by a piece of machinery.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Galway, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A second man was injured in the incident. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It is understood the Health and Safety Authority will carry out an inspection at the site today.
