Two men have died in separate workplace incidents this morning.
The first happened when a man in his seventies was seriously injured while carrying out work on a building at a quarry in Tamlet, Co Monaghan.
He was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he later died.
The incident happened at around 10am.
A second man died in an incident on a farm at Adamstown in Co Wexford at around 11.20am.
The man, who was in his eighties, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out and the scene at the farm has been preserved.
The Health and Safety Authority is investigating both incidents.
