There were lengthy traffic delays in Galway this morning after the city's main bridge was temporarily closed following a traffic collision.
A pedestrian was struck by a car on the Quincentennial Bridge at around 7am this morning.
The injured person has been taken to University Hospital Galway.
The bridge is the main crossing point in the city over the River Corrib.
It was closed for a technical examination and traffic was diverted before the bridge reopened to traffic at around 11am.
