A man has been arrested in relation to the murder of Phillip Finnegan, whose body was discovered in Rahin Wood, Co Kildare in September.

The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested in Portlaoise and is being held at Leixlip Garda Station.

24-year-old Mr Finnegan’s body was discovered in a shallow grave in Rahin Wood on 2 September.

He had been missing from his Dublin home since 10 August.

It is thought Mr Finnegan was abducted and killed by criminals.
