A 21-year-old student has pleaded guilty at the Circuit Criminal Court in Cork to dangerous driving causing the deaths of a mother and her daughter near their home three days before Christmas last year.
Susan Gleeson, of Kilworth, Co Cork, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the deaths of Geraldine Clancy and her 22-year-old daughter Louise.
They died following a two-car crash on the Fermoy to Ballyduff road as they were on their way to do some Christmas shopping.
Judge Seán Ó Donnabháin adjourned sentencing until later this month to allow for the preparation of a victim impact statement.
Ms Gleeson was remanded on continuing bail.
