Two men being questioned in connection with the rape of a woman in Dublin yesterday morning have been released without charge. 

The two men were arrested in connection with the attack yesterday morning.

The victim, who is in her 30s, was attacked at 3.20am as she was walking along the Ninth Lock Road.

She had just bought groceries and was on her way home when she was attacked by three men and dragged into a park at knifepoint, where one of the men raped her.

Two men were arrested in the Clondalkin area this morning.

The suspects, aged 18 and 24, were questioned at Lucan Garda Station but they were released without charge this evening.

Gardaí said the investigation is ongoing and they have appealed to witnesses, particularly drivers with dashcams, taxi drivers or pedestrians, or anyone with information relating to the incident, to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station on 01-6667700.
