Gardaí have seized drugs worth an estimated street value of €290,000 following the search of a house in Laois this week.
As part of on-going, intelligence-led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Laois/Offaly area, gardaí seized cannabis herb and plants on Wednesday night.
During the search of a house on Main Street, Ballyroan, Laois, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €50,000 and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €240,000, were seized.
Three men (aged from their mid-20s to mid-50s) were arrested at the scene and were questioned at Portlaoise Garda Station.
All three men were charged and brought before Dublin District Court this morning.
They were remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Thursday 7 July.
