A children's playground has been extensively damaged in an arson attack.
Griffith Park playground in Dromcondra in Dublin will remain closed while the damage is fully assessed and repaired.
It is not known how long that will take.
Dublin City Council said a fire was maliciously started at the playground late last night.
The council says the park has been subjected to a lot of anti-social behaviour over the past few weeks.
The gardaí have been notified and an investigation is also being carried out by the council.
No arrests have been made in relation to the attack.
There was no CCTV at the playground and no overnight security.
Griffith Park playground is one of the most used in the capital.
