Aer Lingus has apologised to passengers who are still in Orlando in Florida today after their flight was cancelled two days in a row.

266 passengers were due to take flight EI120 on Saturday night. But the airline says it was cancelled due to technical problems.

Aer Lingus say an engineer was sent to Orlando with replacement parts but say the fix was unsuccessful.

Passengers say they were not told the plane could not be fixed until 2am.

They said they were very upset at what had happened. A number of children who represented Ireland in kickboxing in the US were due to be on the flight also.

Aer Lingus say an aircraft is en route from Dublin to Boston and is on time.

The aircraft will then travel to Orlando. The airline says Flight EI2120 is scheduled departure time from Orlando is 8pm local time. It is due to arrive back in Dublin tomorrow at 9am tomorrow morning.
