A major property asset developed during the boom and controlled by NAMA is being put up for sale today in the largest transaction of its kind this year.

The Elmpark Urban Campus on Merrion Road in Dublin 4 in the south of the city has a guide price of €185m.

This site was developed by Bernard McNamara with money from Anglo Irish Bank but it was seized in the property crash by NAMA.

The front of the development on Merrion Road has been vacant despite its prime location.

However, much of the campus space is already occupied by insurance company Allianz and pharmaceutical group Novartis.

It is the largest urban campus in Dublin situated on 17 acres and the sale includes 218 apartments and enough office space for 3,500 workers.

Details of sale are being announced today by estate agents DTZ and Savills.
